Iran billiards federation hosts snooker tournament as popularity rises

Players take part in the 2023 Asian Snooker Championship, hosted by Iran's Bowling, Billiard & Boules Federation in Tehran. More and more people in Iran are joining the ranks of snooker players or fans.

Mohammad Afghil Morshedi, a tournament referee and member of the billiard federation said "In the past 10 to 15 years, this sport has developed so much in Iran that it has gained many enthusiasts and now Iran is among the top three teams in Asia."
