Mongolian PM invites Chinese tourists to visit Mongolia

Mongolia's Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene invited Chinese tourists to visit his country when speaking at a gala dinner in Beijing to promote Mongolian tourism on Friday. The event was held under the China-Mongolia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum that started from Thursday.

During the event, Mongolian officials declared 2023 to 2025 as "The Years to Visit Mongolia" under the official motto "Welcome to Mongolia," which aims to diversify and develop its economy through tourism. The country also offered 72-hour visa-free travel for Chinese citizens.

Prior to the tourism-themed gala, Oyun-Erdene​ also attended the Summer Davos, or the World Economic Forum's 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, in north China's Tianjin, and the economic and trade forum between China and Mongolia in Beijing. The prime minister will also visit the eastern coastal city of Ningbo in east China's Zhejiang Province before his return.
