One citizen died, and another was injured due to an explosion at the Kyone Eaid Bridge in Thahton Township, Mon State, on June 29th. The explosion was caused by KNLA and PDF terrorists who had planted a mine on the 95-foot-long bridge, situated on the Yangon-Mawlamyine section of the Union Highway.

As a result of the blast, approximately 66 feet of the bridge's western section was damaged, causing three motorcycles to fall from the bridge. Security forces and departmental personnel swiftly responded to the incident to provide relief and carry out rescue operations.

However, while conducting the rescue efforts, the terrorists launched another attack by using a drop bomb. This subsequent attack resulted in the death of two more individuals and the injury of ten others, including members of the security force.
