Peace Process: SPTT and 5 EAOs sign agreements reached during 3-day meeting

The State Peace Talks Team (SPTT) held a separate meeting with the delegations of the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO), Lahu Democratic Union (LDU), Democratic Kayin Buddhist Army (DKBA), and Kayin National Union/ Kayin National Liberation Army – Peace Council (KNU/KNLA-PC) at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

They discussed matters concerning regional security, stability, and development. In the afternoon, the SPTT and five members of the Peace Process Steering Team (PPST) - ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU, and PNLO - who have signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, continued their 3rd day meeting.

The meeting concluded by signing the agreements that had been reached during the 3-day meeting. Saw Mra Raza Lin, the Chair of the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), delivered the closing remarks on behalf of the EAO delegation. Lt-Gen YarPyae, a member of the State Administration Council and Union Minister at the Union Government Office Peace Talks Team Leader, also gave a concluding speech.
