Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal timbers and goods confiscated Title

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 24th, 25thand 26thof June, illegal timbers and goods including plastic drums and sports shoes as well as cattle, teak andhardwood worth over 126 million Kyats were confiscated in Shwebo township and Kyunsu township as well as at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Checkpoint, at the Anawrahta bridge checkpoint in Seikpyu township and in Mindon township, in Bago, Toungoo and Thayawady districts and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
