




The National Solidarity and Peace-Making Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) held a meeting with 5 NCA signatory ethnic armed Organizations – ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU and PNLO.
The meeting on Monday at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw was attended by State Administration Council member Union Minister at the Union Government Office in his capacity as Chairman of National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, committee members and officials of the ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU and PNLO.
This meeting focused on points to be amended in the 2008 Constitution, the matter of being able to implement the points agreed upon in the previous discussions, the issue of holding a peace conference, regional stability and the fight against drugs.
It’s reported that the 2nd day meeting between the National Solidarity and Peace-Making Negotiation Committee and these 5 NCA signatory ethnic armed organizations is set to take place on the 27th of June.
