Illegal trade: Industrial materials, motorbikes, vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.

Two kinds of goods including 185 electric sprays from a Hino truck  heading to Mandalay from Bhamo at the Letpanhla-Singu temporary checkpoint on 21 June, a Nissan Condor truck  carrying two kinds of goods including 1,000 pairs of child footwear travelling from Myawady to Yangon at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, 70,300 kilogrammes of HDPE plastic sheet from two containers at the Myanmar Industrial Port and three kinds of item including 1,200 kilogrammes of Duolist automotive paint from a container at the Hteedan Port were confiscated.

An unregistered Pleasure 110 motorbike in Tamu township and an unregistered Yamaha 125 motorbike, an unregistered Kenbo 125 and an unregistered Triplecrown vehicle  in Homalin Township were captured.

As a result, a total of 12 arrests were made on 21 June, with an estimated value of 287.574 million Kyats, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
