Charity Feast donation: Charity feast continued as 26th day in Sittwe

The charity feast of fruit biryani and rice and egg curry was conducted as 26th day on 24th  of June in Sittwe township of Rakhine State where cyclonic storm Mocha affected. In the morning session of donation, totaling 6,100 meal boxes of vegetable biryani and rice and egg curry were catered and 6,500 in the evening.

The charity feast went to the Sittwe station, Buddhist monasteries and other religious places, Nursing and Midwife Training School, volunteer groups, departmental personnel who are carrying out the rehabilitation works, technical training school and computer university renovation volunteer groups, philanthropic centers, the residents from Chaung Nwe, Pyin She village and  Thet Kal Pyin  IPD Camp  in the morning and Pyar Lal Chaung, Ohn Yay Phaw , Gatinpaike, Yay Chan Pyin, Chi Lal Pin, Pardaleik, Bu May, Min Gan ward, Nga Tauk Tat and Ohn Taw Che villages in the evening.

The Union Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development U Hla Moe, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, Deputy Ministers and officials visited the base of preparing charity feast donation at 8:30 AM on June 24th and were welcome by the base in-charges U Khin Maung Aye and U Kyaw Zayya, explained charity feast preparing process and the 3 days extension of donation on 29th and 30th June and 1st July. The Union minister and party viewed the preparations and cooking process and encouraged saying that food is the most important essential need for the human beings and the donation of food for the cyclone victims is a good deed and will gain the merits.

Up to the date of Charity feast’s 26th  day, totaling 316,248 vegetable biryani and curry and rice meal boxes have been donated.
