Approval of registration: Registration of political parties approved by UEC

The Union Election Commission issued an announcement No 33/34/35/36/2023 on 24th June, 2023 allowing the political parties to be registered as political parties.

Under Article 9 of the Political Parties Registration Law, it was announced that the Shan and Ethnics Democratic Party (White Tiger Party) with its headquarters located at No 43-44 (8-A), MMM Condo, Strand Street, Ahlon Township, Yangon Region, Democratic Party with its headquarters located at No 42, Pyidaungsu Lane, Saya San (North/West) Ward, Bahan Township, Yangon Region, the Democratic Forces Labour Party with its headquarters located at No 12 on 85th Street between 33rd and 34th Streets, Aungnan (West) Ward, Malun Seyoe compound, Mandalay Region, the Women’s Party (Mon) with its headquarters located at No 5/B, Bogyoke Aung San Street, Myaingthaya Ward, Mawlamyine, Mon State have been approved for registration.

The registration number of the Shan and Ethnics Democratic Party (White Tiger Party), Democratic Party,  the Democratic Forces Labour Party and the Women’s Party (Mon) are 28,29,30 and 31 respectively.
