76th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day: Preparation tasks are under way in Secretariat Office

Marking the 76th anniversary of Martyrs’ Day, preparations have been made to display the memorial things of the martyred leaders on the Martyrs’ day special gallery at the Secretariat Office (Former Ministers’ Office) in Yangon on 19th of July.

Ngu Kay Khaing, General Manager, Ahnawmar Art organization, said " A total of 28 memorial things left by leaders in the council room and memorial photos of Myanmar parliament will be display in the special gallery on the significant day. Also the 1947 news paper from 20th to 27th July that included about the martyred leaders will be display in the gallery. All the memorial things will be display with small museum format and the department of arts and culture will explain in details. "

Normally, it will cost about 1,000 kyats per student, 3,000 kyats per adult and 10 USD per foreigner for a 45 minutes explanation of the history of Secretariat office and memorable places. On the significant day, the Secretariat office will be opened from 8:00 am to 4:00pm and visitors can enter with free of charges.
