Industrial Sector: Work Coordination Meeting held

The Ministry of Industry held its Work Coordination Meeting for May of 2023-2024 FY at the Ministry on 22nd June with the attendance of Union Minister for Industry Dr.Charlie Than, Deputy Minister, Directors-General and officials.

On the occasion, the Union Minister delivered an opening speech saying that the Prime Minister had ordered the Plan, Do, Check, Act –PDCA system in carrying out work implementation for this Fiscal Year. Therefore, it is needed to draw the plans systematically and to review the Plan and correct the points found from the review and formulate an Action Plan.

Along with the PDCA, Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed- RACI has to be carried out in order to know the performance and accountability of each employee according to the tasks. No.1 Steel Mill (Myingyan) is now re-operating.

He also instructed to make a calculation of the required staff force according to the type of skills and qualifications as soon as possible for the operation of Melt Shop No.2, Phase-2 which will manufacture Multi-Size steel plates and Phase-2A which will manufacture colourful roofing sheets and corrugated iron sheets. It is also needed to make a detailed estimation on the completion of projects, financial expenditure, conditions to make more investments and durations to implement the projects and future plans.

Then, Director General of the Union Minister Office and Deputy Minister supplicated on the reports made by the Directors General and Managing Directors of the Directorate and enterprises.

The Union Minister then made discussions on the reports and the meeting came to an end after the closing remark by the Union Minister.
