Banking and Investments: DPM MOPF Union Minister inspects MADB and SECM Office

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein met with the staff of Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank in Yangon Region on 20th June.

The Deputy Prime Minister gave instructions to make cooperation and coordination with the region/state governments for collecting the remaining debts systematically. He also instructed to make constant scrutinizing on the farmland grants with the concerned Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics and to follow the work procedures, guidance, rules and regulations.

The Deputy Prime Minister later arrived at the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission and met with the commission members. He said the role of commission plays a vital role in development of capital market in Myanmar. He urged them to carry out the task in line with the law and bylaw and also to protect the people who invested in the securities and bond market in line with the law.

He also met with the officers and staff of the Commission Office and gave instructions for human resource development and welfare tasks. He then coordinated the needs for banking sector and capital market, and inspected the office buildings.
