










The 2nd Anniversary celebration of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development was held at the ministry’s meeting hall on 17th of June with the presence of Union Minister U Hla Moe, Deputy Minister U Myint Soe and many other officials.
There, the Union Minister said that efforts are underway for successful cooperative works, projects with the State Economic Promotion Fund, MSME businesses, rural development works, vocational trainings, road/bridges development works and water/electricity access.
Next, the Union Minister presented honorary medals to those who have received excellent awards in literature, planning, service business and technology honored by the State. He also presented honorary medals and cash to the concerned departments for their successful implementations of works and to MyaSein Yaung village, Mawlamyaingkyun Township for achieving the award of good environment management model village.
Also, he provided uniforms to the staff from the Union Minister Office, Directorates and the Universities.
The Union Minister also presented 11.6 million kyats and honoray certificates to the staff members’ children who passed the matriculation exam including those who outstandingly passed the exam with distinctions.
Then, in honor of the 2nd anniversary of the Ministry, lucky draw session was conducted for the staff.
Also, the deputy minister presented honorary medals and cash to the award recipients at Civil Service Academies and to those who have received the best performance awards in terms of implementing for the development of cooperatives associations and the uniforms were provided for the staff from Universities of Cooperative and Management (Thanlyin and Sagaing).
Permanent secretary also presented honorary medals and cash for the concerned departments which have performed the excellent works in the respective fields and for the students who have passed the exam with distinctions.
Also, Directors general and rectors presented honorary medals and cash for the excellent award winners in the relevant departments and universities.
The Union Minister and party also took five precepts from members of the Sangha, listened to the Parittas recitation, shared the merits gained and offered day meals to the members of the Sangha.
