Rehabilitation Works: Meeting with officials and locals in Buthidaung Township

The State Administration Council has issued announcements on the areas affected by Cyclone Mocha as natural disaster areas under Section 11 of the Disaster Management Law and assigned senior military officers to carry out restoration work in the areas of these announcements.

On 16th June, Lt-General Aye Win from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) visited Thabyu Chaung village of Buthidaung Township and oversaw health care provision to the local people.

Relief aid was also provided to local people and village representatives from 5 village tracts affected by the storm. In addition, the Lt-General met with the officials from the department, ward administrators and town elders at the meeting hall of the General Administration Department and held a meeting for the rehabilitation and coordinated the necessary things.
