

The work coordination meeting (2/2023-2024) of the Machine Supervisory Committee was held at the Ministry of Industry on Friday.
Chairman of the Committee Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than said that in the meeting, the two sectors that are the annual report of the Machine Supervisory Committee during 2022-2023 financial year and the directive (draft) on budget allocation for budget expenditure (Machine), purchasing machine and budget transfer procedures will be discussed.
From 2020-21 to 2022-23 fiscal years, the committee has held 7 coordination meetings. The budget transfer and use reported by the Union Level Organizations and the ministries, project value change and policy and issuing directives of the Committee could be scrutinized.
In the funding transfers of budget expenditure (Machine) for 2022-23 fiscal year, the Machine Supervisory Committee could be verified 383 cases and 4 cases related to project value changes have been scrutinized.
The Union Minister stressed the committee members to effectively carry out the tasks and to systematically scrutinize budget expenditure, machine purchasing and uses in line with policies and responsibilities of the Committee for machine sector of government departments.
Then, secretary of Machine Supervisory Committee and director general of Central Equipment Statistics and Inspection Department reported on the annual report of the Committee during 2022-2023 fiscal year and committee members discussed allocation for budget expenditure (Machine), machine purchasing and directive on fund transfer (draft).
In the evening, the Union Minister met the staffs of Industrial Control Division of Central Equipment Statistics and Inspection Department of the Ministry who are undertaking responsibilities of the Committee and urged then to make efforts for achieving policies and responsibilities of the Committee in regard with machine purchasing and uses. He then presented fruit baskets to the staffs and cordially greeted them.
