Educational Development: Opening ceremony of Sports and Education combined course

The opening ceremony of Sports and Education combined course for 2023-2024 Academic Year of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Mandalay) under the Department of Sports and Physical Education was held at the Institute on 16th June.

Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Regional Government ministers, the officials from the Sports and Physical Education Department, headmaster, coaches, teachers, donors and trainees from the Sport and Education combined high education school, and guests attended the ceremony.

In his opening speech, Region Chief Minister said that the good intention of opening Sports and Education combined course to continuously turn out new generation of outstanding athletes for the country, 225 trainees will be trained in 13 sports in this new course, the trainees should abide the rules and regulations of the course and they should focus to balance both in sports training and education, we must strive to produce outstanding selected athletes to represent the country, as the coaches have to keep in touch with the modern sports science education and apply it in teaching, the teachers teach the students to develop not only in higher education but also in other areas and everyone will work together to achieve the nation’s objective.

And then, Mandalay Region chief minister and regional government ministers accepted the 33.9 million of cash donation from the donors and gave the certificate of honor, Sports and Physical Education Department Deputy Director General presented certificate of honor to the VEC private School founder, U Kyaw Aung San for the high pass rate of the matriculation exam 2022-23 Academic Year and the principal U Naing Lin Aung expressed his gratitude.

And then, the regional chief minister and his party greeted the coaches and trainees and inspected the training equipment in line with the sports.
