VSG in Rakhine State: VSG inspects rehabilitation tasks in Rathedaung Tsp

Chairman of the Natural Disaster Management Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win visited Rathedaung Township of Rakhine State.

There, the Vice Senior General heard report on rehabilitation tasks after the cyclonic storm ‘MOCHA’ and gave necessary instructions. He also stressed plans to provide strains for the monsoon paddy season, restoration and cleaning of drinking water lakes, conditions of the students being able to study under the shelter and the current study conditions and to provide additional supplies from the 10,000 tons of reserve rice that was collected even before the storm hit.

And, the Vice Senior General provided foodstuffs to the governmental departments and volunteering groups. He also visited the Aungmyay Bawdi Dhamma Yeiktha Alotawpyae Monastery and donated rice and offertories.

Also, the Vice Senior General visited the People’s Hospital, inspected repair works and provided cash and foodstuffs to patients. He also visited the basic education high schools, held talks with teachers and provided necessary assistance.
