Meetings in Rakhine State: VSG visits Sittwe and Rathedaung stations

Chairman of the Natural Disaster Management Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win visited the Sittwe and Rathedaung stations and held talks on Thursday.

In the meetings, the Vice Senior General stressed that all the families have now been able to reach and live safely under the shelter. As military personnel, they have to serve the duty 24 hours a day, and it is necessary for them to be able to serve without worrying about their families.

In order to do that, the officials need to arrange for the family to live and eat safely. In carrying out the rehabilitation activities after the storm ‘MOCHA’, everyone needs to be actively involved. Efforts are being made to provide the necessary medicines on time.

And, the Vice Senior General provided foodstuffs and cash assistance. On the same day, the Vice Senior General visited the local medical unit in Sittwe, provided foodstuffs and fulfilled the requirements. He also visited the No. 6 Basic Education High School and fulfilled the requirements.
