Providing cash assistance: Cash assistance provided for Pintaya&YwaNgan

A ceremony to provide cash assistance from the State economic promotion fund for Pintaya and YwaNgan Townships in Danu Self-administered Zone, Shan State (South) was held at the Administrative committee office of Danu Self-administered Zone on Wednesday.

Chairman of Danu Self-administered Zone Administrative Body U Akar Linn and committee members, regional level departmental heads, chairmen of Pintaya and Ywangan Township Administrative Committees and committee members, the township level departmental heads, agriculture and livestock entrepreneurs and officials attended the event.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Danu Self-administered Zone Administrative Committee said that under the instruction of the State Administration Council, 5 billion kyats will be disbursed to Self-administered Zones from the State Economic Promotion Fund to promote socio-economic life of people and the state’s economy that have been declined by COVID-19.

Over 1,759 million kyats could be provided to 1,427 population of 54 agriculture, livestock and other producer groups in Pintaya Township and more than 1,946 million kyats to 678 population of 42 agriculture, livestock and other producer groups in YwaNgan Township.

From cash assistance of the State economic promotion fund, over 1,293 million kyats of remaining fund will be provided to agriculture, livestock and other producers in the region. Later, the Chairman of Danu Self-Administered Zone presented over 931 million kyats for Pintayatownship from the State economic promotion fund and more than 362 million kyats for YwaNgan township to the Chairmen of Pintaya and YwaNgan township Administrative Bodies. On behalf of the groups, a representative from YwaNgantownship spoke words of thanks.
