The Union Election Commission approved the application of Khumi National Party for the establishment of the political party on Tuesday as it is found to comply with the political parties’ registration law and regulations.
Those who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish. To date, there have been 13 parties that have applied for the right to establish parties.
The Khumi National Party which has the right to establish a party must apply to the Commission for registration as a political party under Rule 7 of the Registration of Political Parties within 30 days from the date of approval. To date, seven political parties have been allowed to be established and the other parties that have applied for party establishment are also being scrutinized.
