Former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi has died: reports

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has died at 86 at San Raffaele hospital in Milan where he was taken last Friday. He was placed in Intensive care after being diagnosed with leukaemia. Silvio Berlusconi dominated Italian public life for decades as a billionaire media mogul and the country's longest serving premier.

But he was always dogged by scandal. He has headed four separate Italian governments between 1994 and 2011. Berlusconi is also listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the world's top 500 billionaires, with a net worth of around 7 billion USD.
