Rehabilitation in Rakhine State: Union ministers make inspections in Sittwe

Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Myo Thant and Dr. Thet Thet Khine together with Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin on Saturday inspected rehabilitation works in Sittwe Township area.

First, in BawLoneKwin and PyiTawTar wards, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and party inspected completion of the governmental staff housings repair damaged by the cyclonic storm MOCHA and provided foodstuffs to the officials, staff and their family members.

And, in ThinPoneTan Village, the Union ministers oversaw provision of healthcare services to locals and provided foodstuffs.

On the same day, at the State Government Office, the Union ministers attended a regular meeting for rehabilitation works which focused on the ongoing works, plans, relief aid, donation, quick repair of religious buildings, construction materials, and temporary buildings for education sector.

Later the day, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than donated medicines manufactured by the Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) to the Rakhine State Chief Minister for healthcare services in the state.

It’s reported that regarding electrification in Rakhine State, the Ministry of Electric Power has been making efforts and works will be completed in the 4th week of June and in the 1st week of July, and electrification will be restored in all townships soon.
