Regional developments: Shan State CM tours dried tea leaf and fruit factory

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye together with State Ministers, Chairman of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administration Body and members, members of Da-Nu Self-Administered Zone Administration Body, agricultural entrepreneurs and officials visited dried tea leaf and fruit factory in Naungtaya of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone on 7th June. The factory in-charge U Khun Zaw briefed about the dried tea leaf and fruit factory.

The managing director Myanma Economic Corporation U Aye Lwin made clarifications on the reports and the attendees asked what they wanted to know.

After that, the Shan State Chief Minister and party viewed around the process of drying fruits and manufacturing of tea powder after drying the wet tea leaves.

At dried tea leaf and fruit factory, fruits from the environs of Naungtaya and Pin Laung area are dried then are sold in the local market. They are distributed and sold in the market in terms of time. Hence, the dried fruits factory has been built in order to prevent loss and with the aim of developing the area. Various kinds of fruits produced from these areas are also transported to the markets in Pin Laung, AungBan, Taunggyi and Mandalay and they are mainly conveyed to the nearest Pin Laung Township.

Then, the State Chief Minister and party visited Potato Cold storage (Naungtaya). Then, they observed the construction works of natural fertilizer plant. The State Chief Minister and officials presented 50 million kyats for the construction of Potato Tissue Culture Green House Research Farm through the Chairman of Naungtaya Potato Association. 

Afterwards, the State Chief Minister and party visited and encouraged the students at Basic Education High Schools in Naungtaya and Tikyit and provided cash of honour for the schools through the principals. Later, the State Chief Minister and party arrived at Nagar Fertilizer plant in Tikyit. There, the director of fertilizer plant made reports regarding the conditions of factory and the State Chief Minister coordinated the needs.
