Hotel and Tourism Sector: MoHT Union Minister received Chinese delegation

Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism U Aung Thaw received a delegation led by Mr. Lie Wei @ David, Chairman of Exploring Myanmar Culture and Tourism Organization from The People's Republic of China in the morning on 7th June.

At the meeting, Mr. Liu Wei @ David said that Myanmar's richness in the natural resources attracts the Chinese tourists, for the promotion of tourist destinations in Myanmar, commercial promotion in the topic of Myanmar Pavilion on the social network media platform such as Tiktok, Kuaishou etc., the online shopping of Myanmar commodities and tourism products can be run through those media platforms, the Ministry is urged to provide assistance for enabling to upload tourism promotion photos, videos and tourism company profile, exchange visit of Yunnan Province tourism authority, to hold the International Mountain Tourism Festival and implementing China-Myanmar Friendship Cities.

In responding to the discussion, the Union Minister said it's thankful for conducting discussion on the work processes to be implemented for the boosting of China-Myanmar tourism cooperation, the cooperation will be made for more arrival of Chinese tourists to Myanmar, the necessary assistance will be provided, the visit of Yunnan Province tourism authority is welcome, the Ministry is holding tourism promotion festivals and seminars, for the wish to celebrate the International Mountain Tourism in Myanmar, the necessary assistance will be given by the coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the requirements will be coordinated for other needs.
