Refresher course: DPM MoPF Union Minister addressed opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of refresher course No. 5 on public finance management was held at Public Financial Management Training School of the Budget Department under the Ministry of Planning and Finance on 6th of June.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein said that a nation’s political, economic and social development depends on the strengthening of public finance management and it is necessary to have a good public finance management system in a country and enabling to turn out competent civil service personnel.

In addition to basic courses and special short-term training courses, refresher courses on public financial management are being conducted at public finance management training school. Later, he urged all to study the subjects related to the public finance management and to use these skills systematically in the workplace.

The training period is 4-week long and about 40 director-level officials of planning and finance from central organizations, the ministry and its related organizations attended this refresher course, it’s reported.
