






The 12th ASEAN Para Games hosted by Cambodia is being held at the MorodokTecho National Stadium Aquatic Centre in Phnom Penh from 3rd to 9th June.
In the 50-m men swimming competition, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand took part the event and swimmer Min Htoo from Myanmar won gold medal.
In the 100-m Men swimming competition, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand participated in the event and Aung Myint Myat from Myanmar won gold medal.
In the 200m freestyle swimming competition,among the participating countries, No Zin from Myanmar won the silver medal and Kyaw Htoo from Myanmar also won the silver medal in the 50m butterfly swimming competition.
In the athletics (Men) competition, Si Thu Htet from Myanmar won silver medal and Htet Htet Aye from Myanmar won bronze medal in javelin throw (Women) competition.
It was followed by awarding ceremony and Chairman of Myanmar Paralympics Sports Federation Maj-Gen Hla Moe and officials presented awards to the first, second and third prize winners.
Myanmar has participated in competitions of blind chess, blind goal ball, swimming, volleyball, weight lifting, footballs, athletics and won 2 gold medals, 3 silvers and 1 bronze medal. In the 12th ASEAN Para Games, Myanmar won a total 13 medals including 4 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze medals as of 5th June.
