Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visits Vietnam

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese paid his first official visit to Vietnam, attending bilateral meetings with Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh.

Albanese also announced a financial package in support of Vietnam's energy transformation, and that Australia will host a summit for ASEAN leaders in March 2024. Both sides have reaffirmed the importance of ensuring peace, stability, security and safety. 

And they also have agreed to maintain exchanging and sharing information and increase maritime cooperation."
