Relief measures: Efforts for relief and rehabilitation tasks

Tadmadaw sent rescue teams to carry out requisite rescue and relief tasks at the natural disaster hit areas.

Military personnel and departmental staff participated in the rescue teams to perform the rescue and rehabilitation tasks at the disaster hit areas. Besides, foodstuff, relief materials donated by the Tadmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) families and well-wishers and supplies provided by the National Disaster Management Committee are being transported to the affected areas by Tadmadaw aircrafts and navy vessels.

On Thursday, the communications equipment, clothes, foodstuff and rescue items donated by the (Army, Navy and Air) families and well-wishers were transported to the Sittwe Airport by Tadmadaw aircraft for one time. The officials accepted those donated items and distributed those items to the storm-hit areas, it is learnt.
