World Health Assembly closing

This year’s World Health Assembly concluded on Tuesday, with the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, describing the event as “long but fruitful”.

The WHO’s chief says the continuing negotiations on the pandemic accord and amendments to the International Health Regulations are an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the mistakes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
