Acting deputy for the fulfillment of children’s rights at the ministry of women empowerment and child protection, Rini Handayani, said children reproductive health issue, especially good menstrual practices, has become global concern.

This year’s menstrual hygiene day focuses on all are committed to reproductive health for every child.  The event was a momentum to raise public awareness and comprehension on various children’s wellbeing issues, especially the reproductive health.

The world observes May 28th every year as the menstrual hygiene day, because it represents the 28 days in the period cycle, and the five days of interval that most women go through.
