





Member of the State Adminstration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San together with Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, the State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and officials inspected demonstration of tree cutters, Iron cutters and high power hydraulic cutters to be used in the rescue works of Myanmar Police Force and removing damaged power posts and gave instructions to complete the tasks as quick as possible.
Later, Admiral Tin Aung San and party observed medical treatments given by specialists from Sittwe General Hospital and physicians from 50-bed Sittwe Traditional Medicine Hospital to the people and conducting health awareness at the regional health department compound.
After that Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister and party asked about the health conditions of patients, comforted them and presented food stuff. This medical team is providing health care services to people in cooperation with medical team from the Ministry of Health and members of Myanmar Red Cross Society.
The Union Minister and party then inspected damaged retaining wall, concrete road and platforms by the cyclone on the Sittwe strand road and plans for renovation. In the afternoon, Admiral Tin Aung San, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and officials attended a work coordination meeting on rehabilitation of natural disaster at the Rakhine State Government office and coordinated essentials on the reports of officials in the respective committees.
Out of the 1,233 mobile stations of the 4 telecommunication operators in Rakhine State, 904 mobile stations were disconnected due to Cyclone Mocha and the remaining 329 stations provided services. Repair of above ground and underground fiber cables, some microwave links are being replaced with fiber links and repairs of mobile station are underway.
As of May 29, a total of 793 mobile stations have been repaired and the total 1,122 mobile stations (91.00 percent) have been able to restore communication services.
