Harris commemorates 75th anniversary of women in military

US Vice President Kamala Harris was the commencement speaker at West Point Military Academy’s class of 2023 graduation ceremony on 27th May in West Point, New York. This was her first visit to the academy and the first time in West Point’s 221-year history that a woman delivered the commencement speech. Harris commented that this year marks 75 years since women were allowed to join the US military.
