Fire rips through building in Sydney

Wall collapses as major fire rips through seven-storey building in Sydney.

More than 100 firefighters were deployed to tackle the blaze that broke out just after 4 p.m., local time, at a building on Randle Street in the Sydney suburb of Surry Hills, the fire department said.

Authorities blocked nearby streets as the firefighting operation continued and urged locals to avoid the area. It was not said what caused the blaze.
