Anti-corruption: Ministry of Industry & ACC organize a seminar

An awareness seminar on anti-corruption jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and the Anti-Corruption Commission was held at the Ministry of Industry on Thursday.

At the event, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than said that by raising awareness on anti-corruption through the event, the government officials can avoid malpractices and corruptions as well as can also know disadvantages, laws and by laws.

He also added that corruption can be strongly effects on implementing the country development and the Anti-Corruption Commission is implementing awareness activities on prevention from bribery and malpractices in various ways.

Then, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Dr Htay Aung said that the corruptions can effects on the country’s administration, judiciary, politic, economy, culture and social sectors.

He also added that the commission is conducting measures on giving information, prevention, inspection and taking legal actions to corruptions and bribery.

During the discussion, anti-corruption law, disadvantages of corruptions and bribery, preventive and inspection activities were discussed. Attendees also  asked about they would like to know.
