







Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win together with senior military officers from the Commander-in-Chief (Office) and the Commander of Yangon Command and officials visited Defence Services Martial Arts and Sports Institute in Ye` Mon station of Yangon Region, Defence Services Specialty Orthopaedic Hospital(500-bed)in Mingaladon township and comforted hospitalized officers, other ranks and families.
First, the Vice Senior General and party visited Defence Services Martial Arts and Sports Institute. At the meeting hall, the Vice Senior General reported on implementing tasks and opening trainings according to the training years. In his address, the Vice Senior General said that since establishing the school from 1997-1998 to 2022-2023, 37 types of martial arts and sports training courses were opened and it was found that 412 Myanmar selected members including selected athletes of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, and Air) were produced as outstanding sportmen.
In producing outstanding athletes, it is necessary to train from the basics to the advanced techniques in order to be proficient in the rules and techniques of international Olympic sports. In regard with agriculture and livestock, it needs to work hard to achieve the target yield of summer and monsoon paddy set by the state. It is necessary to obtain good quality seeds as well as to ensure better soil.
He stressed the needs on better water management system, systematic agricultural practices to increase per acre yield, systematic livestock breeding system, sufficient feedstuff and implementation of livestock breeding on a manageable scale. The Vice Senior General and party then observed practicing of Taekwondo, boxing and volleyball by the trainees at the sports gymnasium and trainings at the football ground and coordinated essentials.
They then looked into sport teaching aids and gave necessary instructions. The Vice Senior General and party then arrived at the Defence Services Specialty Orthopedic Hospital(500-bed) and observed officers, other ranks and families who are receiving medical treatments at the hospital and asked about their health conditions and gave encouragements and provide food and assistance. The Vice Senior General then presented cash awards for the health staffs who are serving at the hospital through officials.
