Religious Ceremony: Hoisting golden umbrella, vane & diamond bud atop the pagoda

A ceremony to hoist golden umbrella, vane and diamond bud atop Sit Tant Oo Aung Pwe Ya Pagoda in Kone Tha Village of Myaung Mya Township of Ayeyawady Region was held on Sunday.

The congregation led by member of the State Administration Council Padoh Mahn Nyein Maung received the Five Precepts from the Patron Sayadaw of Zeyar Maydani Pariyahti Sarthintaik. They also listened to the sermons delivered by the members of the Sangha.

The congregation later offered the diamond bud, vane, holy flower, water, thread and sand and offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. The laypersons and officials later conveyed the diamond bud, vane and tiers of golden umbrella atop the pagoda according to the religious procedures.
