




Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win arrived at the Sittwe Nursing Training School where he inspected around the conditions of the school compound and repairing of damaged buildings by the cyclone MOCHA.
And then, he met and encouraged the principal of training school and trainees and coordinated the necessities. After that, The Union Minister proceed to the traditional medicine hospital in Sittwe and fulfilled the needs upon the reports of losses and damages at the hospital.
The Union Minister and officials then visited Sittwe General Hospital and met specialists and RRT medical teams and gave necessary instructions on public health care services to the medical teams who will go to storm affected areas. He expressed thanks to health staffs for giving 24 hours health care services for the people before, during and after the storm.
The Union Minister called for them to continue to provide health care services to the people after storm and the government is giving priority in repairing of damaged health buildings and the ministry also fulfills the needs of health staffs, said the Union Minister.
The specialist medical team provide health care services to 6 monasteries and villagers at the Thetkalpyin station hospital in West Sanpya ward and public health workers chlorinated into the wells and lakes in West Sanpya ward and Mizan ward in Sittway as well as in other townships of Rakhine State, it is learnt.
