New immigration law impacts Florida farmworkers

A new immigrant law in Florida is creating panic in the agricultural community of the state. Farm owners worry their worker pool will dry up, while the workers themselves fear for their families and their future.

The new bill requires employers with 25 or more employees to use the E-Verify system to check legal status and those who fail to comply will be fined 1,000 USD per day.
