Aid for cyclone-affected people: Supplies delivered to Rakhine State by Tatmadaw aircrafts

Relief aid and food stuff donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers and relief items provided by the National Disaster Management Committee are being delivered by Tatmadaw aircrafts, helicopters and vessels to the locals affected by natural disasters in Rakhine State because of the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “MOCHA” on the bay of Bengal.

On 18th May, 28 members comprising of the health staff and rescue teams from Yangon Region together with food stuff, tarpaulins, medicines and relief items sent to Sittwe airport via Mingaladon airport in Yangon by Tatmadaw aircrafts for three times to carry out rescue and health care services in the storm-affected areas. The relied items arrived by the Tatmadaw aircrafts were accepted by officials and they will be delivered to relevant departments.
