Natural disaster-affected areas: 4 townships in Chin State have been declared

The State Administration Council of Republic of the Union of Myanmar issued Order No. (2/2023) on 16th May. It stated that the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “MOCHA” passed through the inland near Paletwa, Chin State on 14th May evening.

Due to the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm, Tedim, Paletwa, Matupi and Hakha townships in Chin State where losses and damages were occurred, have been declared as natural disaster affected areas according to the section-11 of Natural Disaster Management Law. It was ordered by Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
