Serbians surrender 13,500 weapons after deadly mass shootings

Serbian President AleksandarVucic visits a police depot in Smederevo, in eastern Serbia, where thousands of weapons and explosive devices are on display. Some 13,500 weapons were handed over to police in the latest government disarmament action, after two deadly shootings in the country killed 17 people.

Vucic has pledged to launch a large-scale disarmament plan to remove hundreds of thousands of guns from the country following the two shootings in less than 48 hours earlier this month.
