





Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, the vocational subjects related to the industry, agriculture and livestock breeding will be conducted at 51 basic education schools in 50 districts of the regions and states.
The KG+9 passers can learn these additional vocational subjects in conjunction with the regular school lessons.
In Sagaing Region, plans are underway to conduct the vocational subjects at the high schools in Monywa and Shwebo.
The relevant departments in Monywa are carrying out the educative talks for locals to share the idea about these vocational subjects. The sharing session aimed to share information and opportunities by learning these subjects.
Deputy Regional Officer, LBVD, Dr. Thaung Sein said "If KG+9 passers join these vocational courses , human resource development will be enhanced and the knowledge about agriculture and livestock breeding needed for the nation will be gained plus the employment opportunities will be improved for them. So, I would like to urge all KG+9 passers to attend these vocational courses."
The extended new school buildings were also constructed at the designated high schools for the students to learn the vocational subjects conveniently.
Assistant Director, Shwebo Education Officer Office, Aung KyawSoe said "A 116x98ft one-storey reinforced-concrete building has been constructed this year with the allocated fund by the Ministry of Education for the opening of Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock breeding high school in No.1 basic education high school (Shwebo). 6 classrooms will be involved in this RC building and 200 students can study at there. Efforts are being made for the provision of water, electricity and the rest rooms at this school in time."
For those students who meet the prescribed qualifications as per the relevant subjects will have the chance for the continuous learning at vocational universities, arts/science universities, degree colleges and colleges.
