






Mandalay School for the Deaf will accept the enrollment for 2023-2024 academic year starting 22nd of May.
Under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, the school is providing academic teachings to the children with hearing impairment. With the specially crafted syllabus, the school providesboth education and vocational trainings to develop physicality, mentality and morality of the hearing impaired children.
Mandalay School for the Deaf, Myat Myat Soe (Principal), said " The School will open on 1st of June.The school is accepting children between the age of 6 and 18 who are actually deaf no matter male or female and what their race and religion are. But, the students must be in good health and mentally well. And then, they must be well interest in the school education and vocational trainings."
The school provides food and accommodation for students from areas with difficult transportation. The students don’t have to pay enrollment and school fees.
Mandalay School for the Deaf, Myat Myat Soe (Principal), said " Parents or guardians must enroll to school in person along with 4 Passport photos, birth certificate, household registration, parents’ National Registration cards, proof of residence and proof of good health. In addition to Mandalay, the students can apply for an enrolment to the school from various Regions and States. In our school, we accept KG to Grade 7 students. After that, they can continue Grade 8 to Grade 12 lessons at No. (32) Basic Education High School."
Mandalay School for the Deaf was opened in 1981. A total of 122 students and 82 dormitory students attended during 2022-2023 academic year.
