Awareness Seminar: Efforts for human trafficking prevention

A seminar for raising awareness on Anti-Human Trafficking was held at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw on 10th May.

It aims to understand the basic facts of human trafficking prevention and to share the undergoing prevention processes being jointly implemented by the related Ministry and private organizations.

By conducting the educative seminars, public will be able to learn about knowledge on education, economics, politics and up to date information.

Director-General , Rehabilitation Department, Aung Kyaw Moe, said " We discussed about the background of human trafficking cases, the laws and regulations issued by the government regarding the prevention of human trafficking, and the rehabilitation process. Also we have planned to hold other seminars on a monthly basis in different topics. For the departmental staffs, this kind of seminars could help increase general knowledge, self confidence, and improve communications skills."

The Department of Rehabilitation organized the seminar, and plans have been made to hold such kind of seminars every month.
