Inspection of construction works: MoC Union Minister inspected construction works

The Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant inspected construction of extending four lanes Hsin Thay Creek Bridge (Kyauk Chet) and the expansion from two lanes to four lanes of entry/exist road to Maravijaya Buddha Image from mile post 203/6 to 204/3 of Yangon-Mandalay highway (up route) on May 10.

First, the Union Minister and party arrived at worksite of extending four lanes new bridge with steel-reinforced Plate Girder and heard the clarification of engineer-in charge and director general of bridge department. In responding to the clarifications, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions.

Next, the Union Minister and party inspected the abolishing skew abutment and piers of old bridge and work processes of Bored Pile and steel structure in detail. Next, the Union Minister inspected the expansion works from two lanes to four lanes of entry/exist road to Maravijaya Buddha Image from mile post 203/6 to 204/3 of Yangon-Mandalay highway (up and down routes) and instructed work requirements.

Then, the Union Minister and party inspected laying asphalt concrete on four lanes road which is 3084 feet long entry/exist road leading to Buddha Park where the Maravijaya Buddha Image is built, growing trees and ornamental flower plants at traffic island and road sides, construction completed Mini Toll Gate and checkpoints and instructed work requirements to the responsible officials.
