Lula inaugurates production line for Swedish F-39s

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Tuesday attended the inauguration of a production line for Swedish F-39 Gripen fighter jets at a factory in São Paulo state.

A deal between Swedish manufacturer Saab and the Brazilian Air Force will provide 36 fighters by 2027.Under the agreement, 13 planes will be manufactured in Sweden, eight will start their life in Sweden and be completed in Brazil, and 15 will be manufactured entirely at the Embraer factory.
