Forest reservation and plantation: MONREC Union Minister inspects forest plantations

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi inspected the thriving and conservations of each 50 acres teaks plantation 1/2021 and 1/2022 in Zawgyi forest reserve in Yatsauk Township of Shan State (South), Taunggyi district on 8th May and gave necessary instructions. 

He also inspected the restoration of 82 acres old teaks plantation implemented in the monsoon season in 2022 in Zawgyi forest reserve. In the Afternoon, the Union Minister inspected nurturing saplings in Myoma nursery garden and Htee Khan Nursery garden in Yatsauk Township.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the watershed plantations in Pinphit forest reserve and the status of implementation for protection of water erosion and soil preserving and preparations for plantation in upcoming monsoon season and gave necessary instructions.

He also visited 100 acres of pine tree plantations in Taunggyi firewood forest reserve, status of preparation for protection of water erosion and soil erosion and instructed to extend pine tree plantations and preservation of old pine trees plantations.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the growing 10,000 pine tree saplings filled in the plantation in 2022 monsoon season, thriving of the trees and gave necessary instructions. In the morning on May 9, the Union Minister inspected nurtured over one hundred thousand saplings in Khaung Taing nursery garden in Nyaung Shwe Township to grow in coming 2024 monsoon season for the Inlay Lake watershed preservation project.
