Secretary of State Antony Blinken welcomed the prime minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski, to Washington for bilateral talks on Monday.
Among the topics that were expected to be discussed were food and energy security in the region and North Macedonia's accession into the European Union. In March 2020, North Macedonia became NATO's 30th member.
