Reax to diamond coach at UK coronation procession

King Charles III and Queen consort Camilla led the coronation procession on Saturday in the diamond coach with thousands of people cheering as they passed by along The Mall to reach Westminster Abbey.Tens of thousands of spectators, thousands of troops, hundreds of guests and a smattering of protesters have converged around the abbey.

Tracy Ann Smith from Lincoln said “Great celebration, loved every minute of it and everybody else here as well, it’s great. And when the carriage passed: ‘Wow’. It was a wow minute.”

Jon Cebalios from the Philippines, London resident said “This is a very nice pageantry, in this type of location. It’s good, it’s once in a lifetime experience.”

Rick Dulnuan from the Philippines, London resident said “It’s an amazing experience. I feel everybody is in a festive mood. So we are just here to enjoy, join the crowd, it’s quite drizzling now but you know it’s a historic occasion so we should be part of this. We are happy that we are part of this, so we just enjoy this moment.”

The monarch travelled to the abbey from Buckingham Palace in a gilt-trimmed, horse-drawn carriage, the final mile of a seven-decade journey from heir to monarch.Thousands of people from across the U.K. and around the world camped overnight along a 1.3-mile route.
