Fans line the Mall at sunrise ahead of coronation

British royal fans were up early on Saturday ahead of the coronation of King Charles III. Despite the rain in the forecast, crowds of enthusiasts who spent the night camping outside Buckingham Palace were getting ready to cheer the new king.

The Mall has been full of people camping and drinking in position, securing the best possible view to witness the historic event.The main coronation public event, the King’s Procession, will depart Buckingham Palace through the Centre Gate, and proceed down The Mall, passing through Admiralty Arch and south of King Charles I Island to reach Westminster Abbey.
